A woman has died after suffering severe burns while answering a call close to her cooking gas.

Friends took to Facebook to share photos of her burns after the incident as they prayed for her to survive.

Unfortunately, her health took a turn for the worse and she died.

Her friends are mourning her on Facebook while warning people to desist from answering phone calls near a cooking gas.

The powerful explosions that rocked the port of Beirut on Tuesday left "people dead and injured", the Lebanon's National News Agency reported. A bricklayer has reportedly survived after he fell from a storey building he was working on. According to reports, the 35-year-old accidentally fell off from the storey building and landed with the left lateral anterior neck on a hammer standing on the ground with the handle facing upwards. Describing the awful incident, the Senior Registrar on call in Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck Surgeon Ear, Dr. Ibekwe Nnaemeka, stated that the sledgehammer pierced through the bricklayer’s anterior and exited through his posterior. Thankfully, the bricklayer’s life was saved after he was successfully operated upon by a group of surgeons at Federal Medical Centre Owerri in Imo.
