Image
Miami witnessed a peculiar sensation as Police were seen kneeling down for protesters. This gesture is coming as an apology for the death of George Floyd. It also served as a demonstration of the cops' commitment to ending police brutality in America. He continuously pleaded for breath before he died. His death recalled the murder of other black men such as Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, among others. As a result, there have been massive protests around the US cities such as Louisville, Minneapolis, Georgia among others. In the manner which the White Cop was killed, that is, by kneeling on Floyd's neck, Miami Police knelt in a similar manner to plead to the protesters. They also went ahead to hug the protesters. Other cops were seen carrying banners bearing inscriptions such as "end police brutality now...

See Why Footballers Cover Their Mouth While Talking During A Football Match

Image
See Why Footballers Cover Their Mouth While Talking During A Football Match Why do football (soccer) players cover their mouths by hand while speaking both to the same and opposing team's players? There are various reasons for the same: So that the opposition do not understand even a word of the strategy being discussed, this can - and believe me when I say this, change matches and results. To avoid cameras, so that the media does not conjure a syllable out of thin air. Imagine Ronaldo saying “bad luck” and the media understanding “fat f***”, you never know. Covering your mouth and speaking limits the voice to the people around you, so that people a little further away cannot hear what is being said - so players do it to restrict any overhearing too. Sometimes, it even avoids the media from writing about the 2 best players in the world - which can be a news for years to come, but covering your mouth restricts the media from doing that. Maybe they want to sneeze and doing it on some...

'He doesn’t suit the club at all' - Bayern warned against Leroy Sane move

Image
Former Bayern Munich star Willy Sagnol has urged the Bundesliga defending champions to steer clear of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.  Sane has been on the Bundesliga giants' wanted list for two seasons now, with reports indicating they will make a move at the end of the current campaign. Sagnol however feels the German international is not the right player for the cub, owing to his 'troubles' at  Manchester City  and with the national team.  “He doesn’t correspond at all to Bayern in terms of his character,” Sagnol told RMC. “He’s someone whose form is very inconsistent and who is very withdrawn.  “For me, he doesn’t suit the club at all. He’s had a lot of problems at  Manchester City  and with the national team.” Sagnol feels Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz is a more complete player and can fit perfectly at the Munich club.  “We’re talking about a cost of €80 million (£72m/$89m). In that case, I would prefer to put another €20m down and sign K...

Kano’s major problem is not COVID-19, but poverty –Dansudu, Arewa leader Olakunle Olafioye The  National President of Arewa United Consultative Forum, Alhaji Shuaibu Ado Dansudu, has allayed the fear being expressed over the influx of northerners into the Southern part of Nigeria despite the subsisting inter-state lockdown directive by the Federal Government.  Dansudu, who described the migrating northerners as economic refugees, said that the Arewa community in the South has adequate machinery in place to fish out visitors with questionable backgrounds. Dansudu also spoke on other national issues, including the fear of the North over COVID-19, the ruling APC, the anti-corruption war, as well as government’s handling of COVID-19 battle. What do you make of the decision by some governors to lift the ban on religious gatherings in their states while others are also considering following suit? I will say the move is a commendable one because when you look at the partial easi...

"Schools can’t resume this year, you people should forget it"- See as Nigerians React to NCDC update For a while now, Nigerians didn't seem to bother to concern themselves with the daily NCDC report of the coronavirus cases in the country. This was not the case today. When the NCDC twitter account tweeted the update,  it took less than an hour for the hash tag "#378 in lagos" to trend as the number 1 topic on TwitterNG.  This certainly got the attention of Nigerians. In a time where the government is relaxing lockdowns and giving hopes of reopening schools and religious centers, the numbers have taken a massive boost, the like of which we've never seen before. Many are now worried that, in light of this new outrageous numbers, schools might proba...
