Get Ready For War – Dereck Chisora Tells Anthony Joshua

Zimbabwean-born British professional boxer, Dereck Chisora has declared war on his countryman, Anthony Joshua as he eyes a showdown with the heavyweight champion.

Dereck is likely to face Anthony Joshua, should he be able to win over his Ukrainian opponent, Oleksandr Usyk who he was supposed to fight on 23rd May but was canceled because of the emergence of the novel coronavirus.

Anthony Joshua is slated to fight his Bulgarian opponent, Kubrat Pulev but is looking to offer him a deal to step aside whilst he fights his compatriot and long term rival, the Gypsy King, Tyson Fury.

Dereck and AJ could face each other should they win their fights against their opponents but that looks vague for Joshua as he is looking to fight Fury instead.

Speaking with The Sun, Dereck said:

“Hopefully the AJ fight happens if we both win.

“I don’t know how I will approach it, we go back a long way and I have never called him out or tried to make a fight with trash talk or anything like that.

“If the fight is made I think I would just call him and say, man-to-man, ‘Get ready for war’.”

Dereck who had lost a split decision match to Pulev in 2016 advised AJ, saying;

“Pulev is resilient and has a hard-to-beat European style.”

Man, 25, rapes Ogun septuagenarian in her sleep.

Men of the Ogun State Police Command, on Wednesday, arrested a 25-year-old man, Wasiu Bankole, for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a septuagenarian, while she was asleep. The suspect was apprehended 24 hours after allegedly committing the crime at Abule Lemode, Ijoko, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday. Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following a report by the victim at the Agbado Division in Sango-Ota. The PPRO stated that the victim complained that her attacker broke into her room around 8pm on Tuesday, and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her, while she was asleep. The victim was, however, rescued by one of her neighbours, who ran into her room and saved her from the rapist.
