I Lost My Money to Scammer, They Don't Need Your ATM, BVN, or Phone, Read this for Your Safety.
Before now a scammer needs to have access to their victims's Phone number, ATM or BVN for them to be able to hack into their Bank account details and withdraw their money. But Scammers have now devised another means to scam people without the reach of their Phone, BVN or ATM CARD.
Out of my goodwill and generosity on trying to help some persons locate their destination since they told me they were lost, I didn't know when they got hold of my phone and right at that spot, I lost N16,000, 4 years ago. As I did welcome back to retrieve my lost sim. But that's old fashion as they have a better means to scam people.
A team of Cyber Security group disclosed the New pattern by which this Criminals used to scam people.
SIM SWAP FRAUD Many People have become victim of this. How does it work. Your phone will momentarily go blank of no network, signal ,zero bar and a call will immediately come in. And the person at the call end will tell you that he's from your Network Company (Depending on your Network) and that there's a problem with your Mobile Network.
He will instruct you to press 1 to get the network back, and if you press 1 the signal will appear and disappear again (Zero bar). At this point your number has been hacked. So is best you end the call immediately and don't press anything.
Within some Minutes while your phone is still in out of service mode, they will empty your account by transferring all your money to their account. You won't receive any debit Alert because there's no service in your phone. As SIM SWAP means exchanging your sim card with them. In other words you gave them the full access to your mobile line.
