Nollywood actress, Toni Tones has waded in on the controversy surrounding the "bride price" culture which is predominant in Africa.

In a tweet she shared, the actress called for the abolition of bride price because women are not to be sold.

Toni Tones tweeted;

Scrap bride price culture. Women are not property to be and sold.

Kano’s major problem is not COVID-19, but poverty –Dansudu, Arewa leader Olakunle Olafioye The  National President of Arewa United Consultative Forum, Alhaji Shuaibu Ado Dansudu, has allayed the fear being expressed over the influx of northerners into the Southern part of Nigeria despite the subsisting inter-state lockdown directive by the Federal Government.  Dansudu, who described the migrating northerners as economic refugees, said that the Arewa community in the South has adequate machinery in place to fish out visitors with questionable backgrounds.
